Our Growing Family

Andrew and I are having a baby.  We couldn't be more thrilled!! Baby Wilson and I share the same birthday as my due date is November, 16th.  Welcoming our little bundle of joy on my b-day would be the best gift ever!

One thing I will say about this pregnancy is it's been different from the last. I've always heard no pregnancy is the same, but only now do I actually believe it. I've been so sick!! Weeks 7-10 were the worst. It didn't help that I had a cold on top of the new pregnancy. Also, I've been craving red meat! That's not too unusual for me considering I do love a good steak, but it's like I can't get enough! Other than that I'm having similar cravings as last time (pickles, cucumbers, cookies) and aversions (can't eat a salad for the life of me).

Last week we saw our little peanut for the first time. It was a great visit. His/her heart was beating strong the baby was very wiggly, rolling over and rubbing his/her eyes (we must have woken it up). Here's our first baby picture.

Happy Easter

Easter this year was a ball! Elise and Avery are starting to recognize each other and interact/play. It was so fun watching them fight over toys, follow each other around, share food and play chase. And their first Easter egg hunt was a blast. Elise gathered the most eggs, double-fisting it at times. While Avery, would select one egg, open it up, eat whatever was inside, then move on to the next egg.

The best part of the weekend was enjoying the warm weather, handing out outside and seeing lots of family.

Winter

If you've ever lived in New England, you know how long winter last.  We had our first snow in October and what I hope to be our last snow in April.  Here are a few pictures of us throughout this long cold season.

Avery Turns 1

Happy first birthday to Avery!

For Avery's birthday we did a winter wonderland theme at the house.  All the food and decor was white and icy.  We had about 25 friends who ended up coming and about 1/3rd of them were kids.  After all the excitement was over, we all needed a nap, especially Avery who took a 3 hour one.  Here are a few fun pictures from the day.

Christmas In Colorado

This year we spent Christmas at Mountain Village in Telluride Colorado with the Wilson's. Believe it or not, this was my first Wilson Christmas, and destination Christmas as well. Although I missed a lot of the traditions I grew up with, it was fun to be up on the slopes celebrating the holiday in such a beautiful snowy white setting.

For the first couple of days Andrew was sick with a stomach bug so I bopped around town exploring the village and shops. By day 3 I was just itching to get out on the slopes, and we finally did! Here are a few of our pictures from the trip.

Avery's First Christmas

This was Avery's First Christmas Holiday at just a few weeks shy of being one year old. It harldy phased her that I turned our house upsidedown with decorations, but one thing that she did notice, were the ornaments. Every night she'd pull a few off the tree and play with them. She loved to try and eat the balls or blow in them like trumpets.  And the ornaments with bells we highly entertaining.  We'd sing Jingle Bells all night long as Avery would run around the living room shacking the ornament and nodding her head to the tune.

Christmas morning was celebrated in Colorado (another post on this to come) so before we left, we celebrated a little just the three of us.

Here's Avery meeting Santa for the first time. She was a little shy at curious at first, then burst into tears! Luckily we got a few good shots before the tears came.

10 Months Old

STATS
Shoe Size: 2.5
Clothes: 9-12 Months
Diaper Size: 3

This little babe has 2 teeth and loves to use them to eat her new favorite food, Cheerios. Her favorite past time is singing (via screaming ra ra ra ra) and dancing (via bobbing her head, squatting up and down and clapping her hands- but not at the same time :).

She tries to talk all the time and a few word we think she's saying are: Dada, Mom, up and uh oh. Words she understands but can't say are: more, bath time, no (selective hearing on that one), smile, hi. bye bye, all done, yea.

Here are a few pictures from this month.
